2026 Girls High School Wrestling Regional host sites are set

WEST DES MOINES — The 2025-2026 girls wrestling season starts with the first practice on November 3rd with the initial meets beginning on November 17th.

There are two classes for the 2025 – 2026 season, the largest 80 programs will compete in Class 2A the remaining programs will compete in Class 1A.

Weight Classes: 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 235

Regional competitions take place on January 30, 2026. There will be eight regional sites in each class located at schools across the state.

The 2026 Girls State Wrestling Tournament takes place Feb. 5-6, 2026 at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
