Raptors’ Robertson claims individual title, leads team to seventh place showing at Kuemper Invitational

CARROLL — The Ridge View girls wrestling team finished seventh out of 13 schools on Monday at the Kuemper Invitational. Even finishing in the middle of the field, there hasn’t been anyone indivudually that can touch junior Teagan Robertson at 120 pounds.

Robertson operates as a well oiled machine with no hiccups or interruptions. Including tonights 2-0 match record, Robertson fashions a sparkling 24-0 match record — 20 by fall and remaining four by technical fall.

Seven Raptors wrestlers total picked up Top six place finishes, amounting to the 88.5 team score. Ridge View was sandwiched between AUdubon (108) and Manson-Northwest Webster (73) on the final team results.

Six wrestlers earned gold medals for Spencer who won the team crown with a 161 team score. It was domination on the part of the Tigers. Host Carroll Kuemper finished runner-up with a 135.5 team score. Western Iowa claimed bronze with a 132 team tally.
