Connor Euton’s wins Cyclone Open Title

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State placed 10 on the podium and crowned one champion at the Cyclone Open Sunday. Connor Euton defeated teammate Aiden Riggins, 8-1, in an all-Cyclone final at 165 pounds.

Four Cyclones reached the finals, but CJ Carter (197), Melton Powe (174) and Riggins fell short of the tournament title.

Euton went 4-0 on the day to win his title, including three wins by bonus-point margin (two tech falls, one major decision).

Osmany Diversent (133) and Manny Rojas (165) reached the semifinals before finishing in third place.
