A big day for Iowa and Iowa State in conference tournament action on Wednesday.
Iowa beat Maryland 75-64. The Hawkeyes advance to play Ohio State on Thursday. Cooper Koch leads Iowa in scoring with 19, Bennett Stirts with 17, as the Hawks improve to 21-11 on the season.
Iowa State had an easy time beating Arizona State in the Big 12 Tournament, 91-42. The win is the most lopsided in Big 12 Tournament history. The Cyclones play Texas Tech on Thursday.
Northern Iowa Head Coach Ben Jacobson joins us at 7 AM. The Panthers won the Missouri Valley Tournament on Sunday and now sit and wait for the bracket reveal.

He worked in newsprint and digital media for more than three decades across Iowa (Northeast, Central, and the heart of Northwest Iowa) where he calls home. He is the winners of numerous INA (Iowa Newspaper Association) awards in coverage, writing, and photography. Jeff served on all-state high school voting meetings for summer and fall sports. Jeff’s favorite sport is baseball, and he’s been an rabid Minnesota Twins fan since 1972. Jeff is a grandfather of two (Arliegh, Aloni) father of two (Ashley, Alex) and brother to two sisters (Jean, Jenni).
