The dancing begins! The field is set for the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Iowa State, Iowa, and Northern Iowa are all going to the party!

Iowa State is the 2nd seed in the Midwest Regional. The Cyclones will play Tennessee State on Friday in St. Louis.

Iowa is in the South Regional as the 9th seed. The Hawkeyes into the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Head Coach Ben McCollum. The Hawkeyes will play Clemson on Friday in Tampa, Florida.

UNI is the 12th seed in the East Regional. The Panthers get a tough draw in the 5th seed, St. John’s. The Red Storm is coached by Rick Pitino and is fresh off the Big East Conference Tournament Championship run. The first-round matchup is on Friday in San Diego.

He worked in newsprint and digital media for more than three decades across Iowa (Northeast, Central, and the heart of Northwest Iowa) where he calls home. He is the winners of numerous INA (Iowa Newspaper Association) awards in coverage, writing, and photography. Jeff served on all-state high school voting meetings for summer and fall sports. Jeff’s favorite sport is baseball, and he’s been an rabid Minnesota Twins fan since 1972. Jeff is a grandfather of two (Arliegh, Aloni) father of two (Ashley, Alex) and brother to two sisters (Jean, Jenni).
