Petco Park in San Diego named top MLB stadium by USA Today in 2026

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) —  As Major League Baseball (MLB) returns for the 2026 season, USA Today’s For the Win has ranked all 30 MLB stadiums, with Petco Park in San Diego coming in at number 1 in the U.S.

Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, has been named the top ballpark in the country several times in the past, including in 2023 and 2024.

Petco Park stood out for its views of the downtown San Diego skyline and its food and beer options, according to the USA Today ranking.

“It’s impossible to have a bad experience there (unless you’re a Dodgers or Giants fan).”

San Diego’s ballpark ranked above all the other ballparks across the country, including iconic stadiums like Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Boston’s Fenway Park and New York’s Yankee Stadium.

The ranking comes at the start of the 2026 MLB season as the San Diego Padres open a 3-game series against the Detroit Tigers March 26-28.
