The NCAA forces the Iowa Football program to vacate 4 wins from the 2023 season. All because of tampering with former quarterback Cade McNamara. Iowa reported the infraction, and Kirk Ferentz served a self-imposed one-game suspension in 2024. Does the punishment fit the crime? Is the NCAA really sending a message to other schools that tamper? It took over two years for the NCAA to render its final decision. Kirk Ferentz and Athletic Director Beth Goetz said they were disappointed in the NCAA’s decision.
