AMES — Iowa State women’s basketball gained a commitment Friday from La Salle leading scorer Ashleigh Connor, who announced the news on Instagram.

The 5-11 senior-to-be from Pittsburgh averaged 15.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists as a junior. She also shot 35.6 percent from 3-point range and 80.4 percent from the foul line. Connor scored 15 or more points in 10 of the Explorers’ final 12 games last season. She’s the third commitment from the transfer portal for the Cyclones, who now have seven players on their roster.
