KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Hilton South may be coming to Kansas City a little earlier next season.
On Thursday, the Hall of Fame Classic announced its four teams that will participate in the annual November event in Kansas City, Missouri, including the Iowa State Cyclones. Their fanbase, which takes over Kansas City and the Power & Light District each year during the Big 12 Tournament, will come for the December event and be joined by three mid-major programs from nearby.
Iowa State will play Missouri State on Dec. 18 at the T-Mobile Center. The other game will be a matchup between former Missouri Valley Conference opponents Wichita State and Drake.
Specific game times, ticket details and broadcast assignments will be announced at a later date.
The 2026 Hall of Fame Classic will be the 26th year it has taken place in Kansas City. It will be the second time the event is structured as a neutral-site doubleheader.
Iowa State last played in the event in 2014. Wichita State participated in 2024, while Missouri State hasn’t played in it since 2018. Drake has never participated in the event.
