West Des Moines Dowling’s 6’4″ guard Gio Quiles has committed to stay home and play for coach Eric Henderson and the Drake Bulldogs basketball program.

Quiles is a 2026 walk on commit for the Bulldogs. The guard averaged just under eight points and three rebounds per game this past season. He helped the Maroons reach the Class 4A Iowa High School Athletic Association State Tournament semifinals, falling to eventual champion Cedar Falls High School and future University of Northern Iowa players Will Gerdes and Jaydon Kimbrough, along with Leyton Wolf, who committed recently to Illinois State University.
